HAZWOPER Training

This 24-hour HAZWOPER course is designed to help employees meet the training requirements found in 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(6) for Emergency Response to Hazardous Substance Releases.  It covers required topics through the Hazardous Materials Technician and Specialist levels and is also good for First responders at the Awareness and Operational levels.  The course includes the following:

  • Exposure limits

  • Risk evaluation

  • Personal Protective Equipment

  • Monitoring and sampling methods

  • Emergency planning and organizing

  • Health and Safety

  • Containment of releases

  • Decontamination

  • Active participation with simulated scenarios and drills
