The 8-Hour EM 385-1-1 refresher course is for Site Safety Health Officers (SSHOs), military, including Army Corps of Engineers contractors, and government employees. It is designed to meet the annual 8 hour refresher training requirements found in U.S. Army Corps of Engineers EM 385-1-1. This course may be tailored to include site specific conditions.
EM 385-1-1: 16-Hour Refresher Training
This 16-hour EM 385-1-1 course introduces key regulations and requirements from the EM 385 1-1 manual. This course is required for contractors working on military installations or contractors working on Army Corps of Engineers projects. Successful completion of the course will help military contractors and government employees comply with the USACE Safety and Health Requirements Manual. Topics include Program Management, Medical and First-Aid Requirements, Temporary Facilities, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Welding and Cutting, Electrical, Material Handling, Storage and Disposal, Vehicles, Machinery and Equipment,Fall Protection, and more. This course may be tailored to include site specific conditions.
EM 385-1-1: 24-Hour Refresher Training
This intermediate-level EM 385-1-1 course provides training for government employees or contractors and fulfills the 24 hours of required refresher training that Collateral Duty Safety Officers (CDSOs) must complete every four years. Topics include Program Management, Activity Hazard Analysis, Medical and First-Aid, Temporary Facilities, Personal Protective and Safety Equipment, Welding and Cutting, Electrical, Material Handling, Storage and Disposal, Vehicles, Machinery and Equipment, Fall Protection and more. This course may be tailored to include site specific conditions.
EM 385-1-1: 40-Hour Refresher Training
This advanced-level EM 385-1-1 course provides an in-depth overview of the EM 385-1-1 manual and is designed for managers, supervisors, supervisors, and construction personnel working on military and Army Corps of Engineers contracts and locations. Safety and health topics include Hazard Recognition and Abatement, Activity Hazard Analysis, Inspection and Reporting, Accident Prevention Plans, HAZWOPER, Personal Protective and Lifesaving Equipment, Hazardous Energy Control, Material and Load Handling, Incident Response, Audits, and all other EM-385-1-1 mandated topics. This course may be tailored to include site specific conditions.
